“We enjoy cooking and having a bunch of guests.” - This declaration was the starting point for the design concept of a private rooftop flat in Graz.
Using minimalistic design elements, a generous space with a unique atmosphere was created. The open kitchen was of course designed to be the lively heart of the flat. This is where hosts and guests cook and eat together.
Another design goal was to create a harmonious, calm ambience. This was fulfilled through the use of a combination of steel, wood, and concrete. Unobtrusive light effects emphasise this effect: Daylight fills and enlivens the interior, while indirect lighting constructs varying moods during evenings and dark winter days.
Architecture, reduced to the essentials, forms the sophisticated background of everyday life here.
