When the extension of the existing production facilities was planned, the first step towards a new master plan for modernising Josef Goebel was taken. The main part of this modernisation was the construction of the new office building.

Located at the entrance to the production plant, the clearly structured building is the connection between the factory and the surrounding hilly grass and agricultural land.

The new building is clearly identified as the frontage building of the facilities. The entrance of the minimalistic three-storey cube is located on the narrow side and possesses a projecting roof and a low-rise perron.

Due to the reduced pedestal, the straightforward structure is silhouetted against the terrain and seems to float above the landscape. The minimalistic design of the outdoor facitilities, consisting solely of lawn and gravel, emphasises this effect.

The building is composed of prefabricated concrete elements. The rhythmic arrangement of the elements and the depth of the reveals create unique shadows on the façade. The effect of the prominent dark concrete structure is highlighted by the natural finish of the oakwood windows.

Matching the exterior, also the interior is clearly structured. The rooms are arranged organically around the central access zone, and each includes a completely glazed exterior wall and an integrated, accessible loggia.

Most of the materials used indoors and outdoors are left untreated and are therefore perceived in their natural colours.
