This new Hofer mart with included parking deck is located on the west part of of Vienna, where Gründerzeit perimeter block development meets loosened contemporary urban structures. The three-storey building is arranged along Gablenzgasse. It opens up to the junction Pfenninggeldgasse with a floating corner that is created by the recessed ground floor in the entrance area.

A metal web structure was used to create a compact and uniform look despite the diverging uses of the building. The façade only opens up on the ground floor, where the retail space demands glass panels. This intensifies the impression of the floating corner and creates an elegant and abstract look.

As mentioned, the ground floor contains retail space, while the first floor, the roof, and the lower floor are dedicated to parking. The driveways and delivery areas are located on the east, while the south part contains office and social areas.

Depending on the viewpoint and the position of the sun, the different reflections on the metal webbing make the building look either delicate or monolithic.
