The property is located at Schirmleitenstraße in Stattegg, about nine kilometres north of Graz. On a slope, with a vertical height of 12 metres, it offers a stunning view on the hilly landscape of Southern Styria and even on parts of Graz. These highlights significantly contributed to the design of this family home.
The minimalistic building was placed at the northern end of the property, according with the hypsometic layers. Due to the hill situation, the lower floor serves as access area, while the upper living floor faces the garden. This way, the house harmoniously blends into the property.
The underground access is projected by a spacious forecourt with parking, which is lighted through an atrium at the backside.
The heart of the house is a generous living room featuring an open-layout kitchen. The dominating materials steel, concrete, wood, and plaster create a minimalistic, yet sophisticated ambience and serve as backdrop for the daily routine of the family.
The outdoor pool allows cooling at high temperatures while savouring the panorama.
